Ecology

Ecology is the study of how living things and their environment interact with each other. Ecology comes from the Greek route word oiko logos. The word means the study of house hold. Ecology gives information that benefits ecosystems. Ecology has an important role in our life. It helps us understand the world around us. The information helps us imrove our lives and enviorment. Ecology has taught us how to manage our health and manage natural resorces. This is an very important study to humans.

Symbiosis

Symbiosis is a close relationship between two organisms. There are four types of symbiotic relationships. The four relationships are mutaulism, commensalism, parasitism, and neutralism. Each relationship is different. In mutaulism, both organisms benefit from each other. An example would be a clown fish and a sea anemones. They both benefit from each other. Commensalism is when one organism benefits and the other is unharmed. An example would be a barnicle and whale. Here the whale is unharmed. Parasitism is where one organism benefits, while the other is harmed. An example would be a worm living inside a bird. This would give a place for the worm to live, but it would bother the bird. In neutralism both organisms are unaffected. An example would be pelicans and cormorants. They are both not affected. These relationships can be seen anywhere.
